Comfort taken to its fullest from the very first ride

The DEV08X takes the evolution of the DEV08 further with a noticeably softer core construction. The fully redesigned seat foam delivers immediate comfort and a balanced seat from the first use, with no break-in period required.

A refined construction for close contact

The flap retains the DEV08's signature construction, positioned between monoflap and double flap, for close contact and a precise connection with the horse. The pre-shaped front block naturally follows the rider's leg and the horse's curvature.

Enhanced adaptability through the panels and the interchangeable gullet

The redesigned panels, built for improved conformity to the back, are available in three wool-flocked panel types: Sock Flex, Wool Sense and Feltfit, which can be flocked at any time for a personalised fit. This range of panel options ensures optimal pressure distribution while preserving freedom of movement. The interchangeable gullet is another major strength of this saddle: its construction between monoflap and double flap makes gullet access and changing notably easier, for a quick adjustment to the horse's shape.

Freedom & stability

A wider tree opening at the withers prevents pinching and frees the shoulders. Multiple girthing options, including a wide 3-point system and adjustable front straps, allow precise, stable fitting tailored to each horse.

Care instructions

 FIRST USE

Before riding for the first time, apply a generous coat of leather oil to nourish and protect the hide.

 OILING

Oil once or twice a year depending on use. Too much weakens the structure — too little leads to premature drying.

 AFTER EACH RIDE

Clean with glycerine soap after every use to preserve the suppleness and extend the life of your saddle.

Yes. Saddle trials are organized through authorized IKONIC dealers and fitters.

IKONIC saddles include a 5-year warranty on the saddle tree and a 2-year warranty on leather and stitching. Coverage applies exclusively to manufacturing defects (not normal wear, scratches, accidental damage, misuse, or improper maintenance).

Clean the leather regularly after use to preserve its quality. Store the saddle in a dry environment, away from excessive heat or humidity, on an appropriate saddle rack. For wool-flocked saddles, schedule regular fit evaluations with an authorized fitter.

Please contact the dealer through whom you placed your order. They have direct access to your order status and tracking details through their dealer dashboard.

The gullet can be changed yourself using the Allen key supplied with the saddle. However, we recommend having an authorized saddle fitter handle the adjustment, both for the gullet and for the wool flocking in the panels, to ensure a correct fit for your horse.
